Shall We Dance?:The Golden Years

Think Cole Porter meets late-night political comedy: sharp, stylish, slightly dangerous, and dressed impeccably for collapse.

How we made the show

What started as a classy, champagne-soaked celebration of Golden Age musical theatre somehow spiraled into an international musical side-eye at the American Experiment.

Inspired in part by the second inaugural address and fueled by songs like Friendship, See America First, Love for Sale, and Public Enemy Number One, our production lovingly skewers the glittering fantasy of the American Dream- the one we sold to the world with a wink, a smile, and excellent orchestrations.

The Artistry

Premiering abroad (because honestly, where else?), this revue trades nostalgia for satire, martinis for Molotov cocktails, and jazz hands for existential dread.  Think Cole Porter meets late-night political comedy: sharp, stylish, slightly dangerous, and dressed impeccably for collapse.

It's patriotic.  It's scandalous.  It's tap dancing directly into the void.

God Bless America.
